Just a little high flying this week, as we gape in awe at the RAF Red Arrows fighting gravity over the Mediterranean in their striking red Hawk jets. This shot was taken straight from the cockpit of Flight Lieutenant Martin Pert – otherwise known as Red 8. The legendary aerobatic team are currently based in RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus to undertake training for their 50th season of display flying. This season will see the arrows launch in Falmouth, followed by a packed schedule of displays including the Isle of Mann, across the UK, and in the Netherlands, Estonia, and Malta. If you don’t happen to see them roaring overhead, you can see where they’ll be flying here.
Looking forward to it!
